Does anyone have children at either of the above in hale area?
Anyone have any advice about the 2? I’m yet to go see them and have my DS son name down at both atm.

Look at the state options locally. They are great.

Know a fair few children at both. Personally, if I was paying for private I’d go to Cheadle Hulme, Ladybarn or the Grange (or Terra Nova). Downside is they’re all further away. Shame there’s not a decent co-ed independent in Alty with the all singing all dancing facilities I’d expect from a fee paying school (I went to one but just couldn’t justify the cost when the state options are so great locally). I guess if money is no object and you can’t bring yourself to go to church 😁

From what I hear APS is very boys boys. Eg according to someone I know, not seeing a problem with boys fighting and hitting each other with sticks including near the eyes because ‘that’s what boys do’. But they have the better facilities. I would worry about the lack of governance at Hale. No board of governors etc I believe...wouldn’t sit well with me. Some seem to love it..others not so impressed. Not sure they did that well on grammar entry last year (from what I hear - others may be along with more accurate info).

I’d only pay for those two if I got Broomwood or Broadheath as my allocated school.
