Great schools near buckingham

Hey Mums

We are relocating near Buckingham. I'm looking into great primary schools for our 8 year old girl. We are moving back to the UK from Africa so it's a massive change for her. I'm hoping to find a smaller (if possible offsted 1 but not critical) where she could ease into her new life and learn. I figured a place that focuses on nurturing individual talent. She's quite academic but would need to catch up having come from a different system. Any suggestions on schools you think would be great for her are welcome! Thanks!

have a look at st jamesjohn primary. its located in Chackmore, so a 5 minute car ride or 10 minute bus ride from Buckingham, but its smaller than the 3 schools located in Buckingham itself

also, I don't know if you are looking at activities yet for your dd but there is a brownie pack that meet on Tuesdays in Buckingham Primary School, which would allow your dd to meet new people. link to website here

swan pool is the local leisure centre, and they offer swimming lessons :)

You need to look at Bucks County Council primary school vacancy list. The school in Chackmore has some vacancies but not in every year group. I would look at some larger Buckingham schools too. There are some excellent schools and you just have to shortlist ones with vacancies rather than just one with no space. There are quite a lot of village schools around Buckingham. Padbury, Gawcott, Akeley and Maids Moreton spring immediately to mind.
