Hello,

Appreciate your time and advice on this...

We're relocating from US to Elmbridge(Walton, Weybridge, Esher or Cobham) area for few years. Have two children age 7 and 5. The state schools process and getting in are daunting, as you know, so leaning towards independent.

Considering - St Georges Junior, Notre Dame, Claremont, Milbourne, Feltonfleet and Dansfield. Have some top state schools in mind but depends where we get a house.

For towns to live considering Weybridge, Esher to Cobham.

Appreciate any and all advice and opinion, especially on the schools.

If you plan to move back to US or internationally in a few years ACS is the most obvious choice, expensive though.

Do you need to be a fast train link to London? Esher station has fast trains and a large car park. They are all good schools, do you have girls only? Feltonfleet probably hardest to get into as popular, have you checked re spaces? If you stay more than 4 years you will avoid move to senior school if you choose ND, CFC, St G's. Are you considering ACS Cobham?

Further clarification - don't need train to London, 2 girls but open to coed or girls only for school, relo plan is for 2 yrs, not considering ACS.

Thanks much!

They are all good schools with solid teaching & welcoming environments, you can't go wrong with any of them.

It depends where you rent, Rowan Preparatory School in Claygate is wonderful but unless you are local the others are all as good. Feltonfleet would probably be a good starting point just because it fills up quickly & may not have space.
The Esher/Cobham/Surbiton area is awash with excellent preps, it can be overwhelming.
