St Georges Junior School Weybridge

Hi I’m moving to Virginia Water and interested in St Georges Junior School, Weybridge for both my children, I have a girl and boy ages 7 & 8. I am looking for an academic coed Catholic school, that teaches values and discipline and that prepares children for the top secondary Independant schools or secondary grammar schools.
My children currently go to state school but we are not happy with the educational system and we are moving to private education.
I’m also wondering what the assessment at Year 2 and 3 will be? Considering that they are in state schools now so they are behind private schools anyways, as private schools are always ahead.
Will the assessment be strict at that age to the point that they will need private tuition to pass it?
Anyone knows anything useful?
If you have any other academic school recommendations let me know please, preferably coed and catholic.

Hi Yurona,

Don’t know anything about St. Andrews?!
Can you tell me more?
Are they academic and selective and prepare children for secondary and grammar schools?

I wish someone told me before that private schools are ahead of state schools, we had no idea and now we are truly regretting it.
From my current experience now after my private schools hunt, I must tell you that one of my children which is currently in Year 2 was assessed in two private schools and wasn’t accepted.
The children needs to be prepared for the assessment at most of the selective schools, that’s why I wanted advice on St Georges as I’ll be investing in highly qualified tutors for both my children to pass the assessment.
Stay tuned here, hopefully we will get some useful answers
