Hendon preprep school

Looking for feedback on Hendon preprep school. We went to the open day and liked the school for our son starting at reception in 2021. We liked location as it’s close to us and the kids seemed very happy however we would like some feedback on the school. Our other option is a preprep school in hampstead but people are saying how horrible the traffic is and parking really is non existent during school drop-off and pick-up times.

Do you mean the nursery attached to Hendon Prep?

Yes I’d like feedback from preprep as well as the hendon prep school. We put our son’s name on the waiting list for reception class. He is at nursery somewhere else and not sure if we should move him to preprep or keep him where he is. Any feedback about the school is appreciated

I'd also love some feedback on the nursery as my son has been offered a place to begin next term.

Hi all any recent feedback on this? What did you go for in the end?

Lovenaptime · 08/11/2022 17:45

Sorry, no feedback here I'm afraid, we went with another school.

we went with Hendon prep and my son is very happy there. Great school community, small class sizes.

Hi eslondon. I am also planning to go for Hendon prep for my daughter. Do you know if they prepare for 7+? Do they focus on extra curricular activities or is it only academic?

eslondon · 16/01/2023 20:22

Hi, it’s a lovely school and it goes up to year 6, so they aim and prepare the kids for 11+ entry exam to secondary (not sure about all the terminology as my son is only in year 1). Great extra curricular activities too! You would have to ask the school directly but I don’t think they aim is to prepare kids for the 7+ entry. Great school by the way, we are very happy there!
