Alleyns or JAGS reception

My DD got accepted for both. Its fantastic but now have a few days to decide which to choose. We're probably leaning 51/49 towards alleyns- but any input will be incredibly helpful. Thanks

Both great schools tbh. The main decider would be whether you want your DD in all girls or not.

Japs better for stem. Alleyns better for creative subjects. Teaching v good in both. Drama productions great in both. Lots of sport opportunities in both. Japs suits driven girls, Alleyn's more laid back

Oh and real focus on charity and giving back at japs

Summers- do you find the girls are aware that those who can’t keep up are asked to leave at Japs? I’m considering both schools for my DD and my main concern about JAPs is if the girls feel under a lot of psychological pressure. I’m less worried about the academic pace as I think that would suit my DD quite well if she’s lucky enough to get in next year!

My daughter loves the school. It does suit a certain type of child though, this is why my elder daughter is at Alleyn's. Japs is fast paced but offers a lot of opportunities to the girls. I think girls who get in at 7+ are usually fine as entry is an academic process...almost all of the 4+ entrants are fine too. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your insight. After some deliberation whilst I'm sure DD will be happy at either I think we are going for alleyns.
