Hi there - my daughter has the 7+ exam into LEH last week and unfortunately didn't make it through.

It was my fault to some part as she was ill on the day, but didn't actually tell the registrar. When I called them for feedback they said her maths score was "solid" whatever that means, and was brought down by her comprehension a little.

Does anyone know if they exhaust the waiting list and still have spaces whether they interview more girls?

@Anonymous2009 I’m sorry your DD was not feeling well on the day- it’s so disheartening to know she could do much better.
My DD was invited for interview- based on my quick calculation there were just under 100 girls invited for interview, which to me seems like a lot. Especially, as when I looked around all little girls in my daughter’s timeslot looked smart and very sweet. I can imagine decision will be quite hard regarding who to select.

I cannot give a definite answer to your question, but based on the number interviewed I expect the school will be able to chose the numbers they need for the confirmed and wait list.
Did you apply anywhere else?

Yes I did and thankfully she got that place. She prefers that school too which I think is a blessing but LEH was only around the corner and would have been easier and would have worked really well.

That’s great! Could I ask you which is the other school you applied to?
We only applied to LEH, but was thinking if DD doesn’t get an offer, might try another one in the area next year.

My daughter also had her 2nd round assessment at LEH this week.
Agree with you @Tellmemore1 , all the girls looked smart and sweet and according to my DD they were all asked same simple questions and puzzles in groups and they all enjoyed it .I'm not sure how the school would pick less than half of these girls , would they still consider the first round test scores ?

She got accepted into Surbiton.

Good that your daughter has 2 offers already! Will you choose Surbiton or Putney High?

@Icecreambaby how did your DD get on with the activity day at LEH? Any news regarding the other schools?

Logistic wise it’s probably going to be Surbiton. She really likes that school too. She will probably do the 11+ but at least she has the option to stay on at Surbiton too!

When do you guys hear about LEH?

@Anonymous2009 Surbiton sounds like a great school especially if your DD is sporty.

I’m not sure when we hear back exactly- hopefully no later than next week.

Hahaha she is anything but sporty! I’m hoping they will ignore that and focus on her other strengths!

@Anonymous2009 you must be so proud of your DD. Both schools are great! When do you need to make a decision?

@Tellmemore1 DD came out happy but the truth is she has no sense of how she did at the activity day so hard to tell. I wonder what LEH is looking for as my DD said they just played. Did your DD tell much?

We are anxiously waitng for results from LEH and Latymer. Bute House said no to us already so we are down to two.

@Icecreambaby yes, same with us- my daughter had a great time but she wouldn’t be able to reflect on her ‘performance’. I expect LEH were watching the interactions mostly and that’s something my DD is not conscious of.
I am curious if they are looking for girls who show more promise of having leadership skills or ones that are good at cooperating.
We are very keen to get the results, too.

I’m sorry about Bute house! Did they give you guys feedback at all? When do you hear back from Latymer?

@Tellmemore1 we didn't call Bute House. They said in the letter that they won't give specific feedback so we took it as it is.

Thanks @Tellmemore1. We have to make a decision this week. Unfortunately they don’t give much time. I was a bit shocked as Putney High seemed to be a harder exam than LEH but never mind.

@Icecreambaby. Sorry about Bute House though. It’s meant to be a really tough school to get into.

Hi can you share how the interviews were conducted?
