Moving schools

We are moving our son from our local state primary to a private school in September.

He has anxiety issues and finds the end of the Christmas and summer terms so difficult that our GP has signed him off at the end of term in the past. It's more complicated than that but I don't want to drone on.

His sisters are at private school and so finish on the 3rd July. He finishes 3 weeks later. He will have done his induction days at his new school and so we want to end his term on the 3rd July as well.

How do we do it? Do we simply write in saying he is leaving the school on that date?

Yes I would write saying he'll be leaving the school on the 3rd of July. It's very unlikely they'll bother you about it.
