St John the Baptist Teddington

We’re applying for primary schools for this Sept. We are impressed by Hampton Wick Infants but concerned by latest SATs results for St Johns. The new head has only been in place for a year so the impact of any changes he’s made are unlikely to have had much impact yet.. Anyone have any thoughts on the school/chances the changes will deliver improvements? Any insight would be much appreciated!

I don’t know the school personally, but looking at the data, it’s the writing progress this year. It was ok in the last 2 years. Reading and Maths are OK and the average attainment scores haven’t changed either. Something obviously has gone wrong, but if you have confidence in the new headteacher otherwise, I wouldn’t discount the school just yet unless there’s another option that completely fabulous.
