We accepted a place at Forest School in east London for 4+ entry this September as the school seemed fantastic and we love the approach so we were super happy to get the place.
But I'm starting to feel a little nervous that we didn't speak to any parents of current pre prep or prep students, only spoke with the teachers!
DH and I have no experience of private school and we didn't really know what questions to ask. As it gets closer and realising that DC will spend the next 14 years of their life there, I'm thinking I should have put a bit more effort into finding out what it will really be like!
What should we expect? How will they settle them in? How much homework in the first few years? What is breakfast club and afterschool club like? Does anyone use holiday clubs? Will our DC feel a bit out of it as we're not from that background??
We did ask some of the above of the teachers but I would love to hear from any MNers who can tell us their experiences. DH thinks I'm mad and can't see past "but it's an amazing opportunity!"
