Catholic schools in Epsom & Ewell

Hi,

I'm applying for a primary school place for my daughter this year. We are Catholic.

I'm interested in people's thoughts on St. Clements school in Ewell v St. Joseph's in Epsom.
We are in the parish for St. Joseph's and is a stronger school performance-wise but it is double the distance from where we live so we would need to drive and it is a nightmare due to the traffic and parking situation as it is near a station.

We can walk to st. Clements in 15mins but it is not as strong but still rated good by Ofsted last year.

Any advice welcome!

Friends are at St Clements and they love it. I would say the walking distance outweighs anything else

Scho gov here but not in your area. I've just looked at the schools and the difference in results is negligible. St Clements has improved every year for the last three years.
It's two years since St Joseph's had ofsted. They've upped the ante again. My school had ofsted last term and we were told that good now was outstanding before. If you visit both and like both, I'd go for convenience.

I agree that statistically there isn’t too much difference so I’d look at other things. Where do the children go on for secondary from the schools? That might be worth considering as they’ll need to travel a bit further afield.

Walk. Don't add what can be a ridiculous journey through the centre of epsom to your day if you don't have to!
