SATS and CAT 4 tests standardised scores

Can someone please be kind enough to help me interpret the standardised scores my child has received.

CAT 4
Verbal reasoning: 130
Non-verbal reasoning: 139

Mock paper done in:

SATS 2018 for
Maths: 118
English (Comprehension): 109
GPS: 113
Writing: Targeted for Greater Depth

Are the standardised scores for CAT 4 different to those for SATS? What is the benchmark for each scoring and what is GPS abbreviated for?

CATs and SATS measure different things. CATS measure cognitive reasoning, SATS measure curriculum knowledge.
The SATS scaled scores are out of 120, so 118 is very high, 109 for reading is at the top end of the expected level, GPS ( grammar punctuation and spelling ) at 113 is above the expected level.

The CAT scores a test of general ability, SAT scores are a test of attainment in specific subjects. The CAT scores are very high where as her sat scores are not much about average which would suggest she's underperforming relative to her ability.

Actually I think sats are scored on a different scale so can't be directly compared. I believe 120 is the max for sats where as 141 is max for CAT.

Those are very strong CAT scores. As pp said, they are scored out of 141. 100 is the national average.
