Shrewsbury - anyone know the area/schools?

We will be moving to Shrewsbury in October, and are currently house-hunting from a long way away!
Does anyone know which are the good (and bad) primary schools in Shrewsbury? (or the surrounding villages)
Are there any areas you would definately recommend for a family with young children?

Only just seen this. I live in Shrewsbury and had to do what you are doing from afar. uld give you some info if you like. You can CAT me if you like and I'll tell you what I think.
