Can anyone tell me, where it says
"Current school"
does that just mean actual primary school or does attending the preschool as part of the school count?
DS has book bag and uniform etc as he attends every morning but not sure whether to put it down or not?

Really doubt it.
It is probably aimed at transfers after reception.

I would class pre- school as current school. It wont do any harm putting it down.

Thanks for replying, I really want to get him into the same school but I realise it might confuse the situation if I put it down.

Here's Wine and Cake as promised Smile

Are you absolutely sure you are filling in the correct form? You need to fill in the Common Application Form (for new starters in 2020), not an In Year Application form (for transferring from one primary to another). I am unsure why the former would include details of a current school, as children not yet of compulsory school age will not have a current school.

Shock Ok, maybe I should give up for tonight, try again when I've had more sleep and double-check it's definitely the right form.

I have no clue what I'm doing and no one to ask. 😳 I just typed in primary school admissions and followed the links.

If you are applying for September 2020 entry to school, then as you are applying using the common application form, which is also used for secondary applications, that it will ask you what school currently being attended.
However it does not matter what you put in terms of pre-school because it will have no effect, positive or negative, in relation to getting a place at the school as it is highly unlikely that the school admission criteria includes what nursery or pre-school they currently attend
