What are your DC wearing to school for Children In Need day?

Mine have to wear something spotty and it's a non uniform day. Do you think just a spotty hair ribbon will do or will they look out of place?

Well, when we've had a wear-yellow day, kids have turned up in yellow socks or a differently-coloured dress with yellow flowers. I'd say a ribbon would be fine.

No there'll always be kids not dressed in yellow clothes so it'll be fine.

Ours is pyjamas or onesie (or non uniform if you don't want to come in that). My child doesn't have a onesie so she'll be going in pyjamas!

Just for fun and added complication our school have asked kids to represent a team they support but not football.

DD is going as Batman because she supports the Justice League.

Oh what I think that's a stupid theme they've done!

So pleased our school doesn’t bother with children in need. Our head holds non uniform days for the benefit of local charities instead.

Pudsey onesie - only because I bought it a couple of years ago for them to wear to and from swimming lessons and I’m getting my mileage out of it!

Our nursery is putting on a week of dress up (oh great!). She’ll go fancy dress on Monday and then I’ll put her in some pyjamas in the week.

DS1 has agreed to a spotty teeshirt if it arrives on time.
DS2 is rejecting anything spotty. He says he will wear uniform rather than spotty own clothes (he is 8).

Our previous school did "wear pink for (breast) cancer" one year. Most girls in pink, most boys in uniform. Making these things too specific just cuts the money raised by pushing people to not participating.

Pudsey pjs - it's pj day for my DS. They are only £8 in Asda. I actually bought a couple of pairs as they are really good for quality for the price

purpleme12 · 09/11/2019 17:03

Kids at our school just wear non uniform if they don't have the exact colour etc
