Magnetic letters.

Have you tried Teach Your Monster to Read? The website is free, the app is paid but it's really good value for how long the game takes them to do. On cbeebies there is the alphablocks program, there is an alphablocks app but it's very basic and just teaches basic letters so I don't think it would be any good for a 7 year old.

What specifically is the issue? If he is in the UK, introducing single letters will have happened two years ago at school. Do you mean that he is doing things like mixing up b/p/d? Or that he cannot remember the order of the letters in the alphabet? Or something else?
