Saint Ronan's, Kent - Questions for current parents!

Hi folks! We're currently making the agonising decision of which school to send our two children to. Saint Ronan's is one on the list, but I've got a couple of questions about it... would you be able to help me out?

Firstly, people talk about it having "quirky" organisation which is mad but just "works". Can you give any examples of what this actually means?! Every website refers to it... but without an example I'm utterly clueless about whether this fits with how we are as a family.

Secondly, what's your honest opinion of the headmaster there?

Lastly, what's the mix of parents there like? Is it typically new money straight from London? Or old money? Bit of a mix? Some normal working class families?

Happy to take responses directly given the nature of the questions. Thank you in advance for your help.

Did you ever get any replies to this? And what decision did you make? Be dead happy to discuss with you. We sent our two and now slightly regretting it...

My child started in September and I’m also unsure. Would you mind explaining your thoughts please?

Knew someone who moved their children to this school some years back. Was given the same impression that it was a creative , quirky style of school....

Interesting to read this thread, my children started there too and I am also regretting this decision - they feel totally lost....currently looking around other schools for September.

We ended out sending our kids to Cottesmore in Pease Pottage. Hands down best decision we’ve made (so far!). We considered Saint Ronans, Brambletye and Cottesmore.

We wanted no fuss, traditional values, set in countryside and avoidance of the London hot house mentality whilst maintaining academic excellence and breadth of extracurricular activities and sports.

Did you visit Saint Ronans? Cottesmore is much too far away for us.....although delighted to hear you are happy.

Yes. We visited them all.

Have you looked at Marlborough House? Smaller than Saint Ronans and very nurturing - it's definitely worth a visit if you haven't already

(Saint Ronans has grown too big too quickly IMO)

We are looking at St Ronans for our children. I don't suppose anyone on this thread who has said they regretted the choice would be open to a confidential call? We are MHS parents.
