How To Name Wellies?

DD starting year 1 tomorrow and they need Wellies.

What’s the best way to name them?

I wrote on the inside in Biro for reception but I don’t want to do that as these ones are going to someone else after. I’ve used mynametags.com for all her uniform and never had any issues, I’ve popped some inside of her Wellies and hoping they don’t fall off.

Does anybody else have any better ideas?

Was also thinking nail varnish but would that not come off after?

Sharpie

I used black Sharpie inside at the top of the boot - faded a bit but name still visible at the end of the year. If passing on, just scribble over the top of the name.

Nothing wrong with hand-me-downs, Sharpie them on the inside, sharpie out the initials when you pass them on. I have done this with my own children.

Is it a sibling they’re going to? I write the surname on.

Peg with a name on? That is what I had as a child.

Sharpie. Used one for wellies, pe pumps and bags.

Sharpie as if the pegs come off you've had it.

I put those stickers inside shoes, so they should be ok on wellies.
But Sharpie would be better - quite a lot of stuff just has a surname on in this house, but we have an unusual surname, and in the last school, we were the only ones it would refer too!

Honestly just Sharpie them - half the wellies in our school tend to get left out for a "help yourself if you can use them" arrangement at the end of the year (kids feet have invariably grown) and there are usually at least 3 names scribbled out in them from previous owners.

I don’t know about naming wellies but I’ve got some sandals called Phillipa Phlop.
