Hi, can anyone tell me much about the above please?
Do you just let your kids be friends with whoever re parties and stuff or do you encourage friendships more with their age group?

I moved mine to a new school last session and he was put in one. It was great and much better for him as it was a smaller class than his previous school.

I’m a bit concerned as he’s going to be in a straight class next session but his new best friend he made is the year below so they won’t be in the same class but I’ll see how it goes.

I used to teach mixed age classes. Academically it's fine as long as work is properly differentiated. In terms of friends, everyone found their own. Anyway, depending on the month on birth, a child could be very close in age with someone up or down a year.
