William Tyndale Home Visit and school readiness

My DSS is starting school in September and the home visit is the week before. Other school visits happened recently and they seem to be asking about school readiness which we'd have summer to address. Not sure what I can do in a week. Does anyone have any experience of home visits from WT? Thanks!

I have friends with kids there and from what I remember the home visit is so they can get a feel for the child's home environment. I really don't think you have to do anything to prepare for it.

There are other threads about general readiness for school that are worth reading and contain useful advice for you and your DSS.

Get dressed themselves (PE)
Use knife and fork
Toilet trained: hands washing
Put coat on themselves
Put own shoes on
Say please and thank you ask for help
Share toys

Usual stuff

DD doesn't go there but her school did a home visit the week before she started. I think it was a few free days the reception teachers had with no kids to teach!
It was more just to find out a little bit about the child and observe them etc. DD emptied her wooden train set out all over the floor.... It didn't last long.
I think GreenTulips has covered what kids need to be able to do.
