What percentage should you be aiming to achieve in a 11+ practice paper at home in order to have a chance of passing the 11+ test?

You need to say which part of the country that your dc is taking the test. Also look at elevenplusexams.co.uk website forum.

Kent test

Look on the Elevenplus forums. There should be a thread about the 2018 Raw Scores and that will give you a general idea of where you need to be. Bare in mind that it does change every year though, depending on the cohort sitting the exam. So no one can guarantee the pass mark needed.

The Kent Test often only needs around 50% as a raw score on the maths to pass; a little more on the other papers. Which practice tests are you using, as some are easier than others?

What is your child getting? My son is also sitting Kent test in September so would be interested to hear other replies.

I'm S Warwickshire and it's about 70% here.

Using cgp books and getting about 75% on test papers.

We were using cgp but then a teacher friend recommended Bond being the closest tests to the real Kent test. They are more expensive and definitely harder! Try some of them too, Amazon do them same day delivery.

Remember they need to complete the exercises in the required time too.

That's often the hardest part as many can
do the tasks given more time.

Interestingly the CGP are closer to the CEM 11+ test we do here.

@Disneydarlings which do you find better cgp or bond? I've just bought another pack of bond multiple choice practice papers but considering trying a cgp pack again if we get through these before September!

I think a mixture of both is good. We also have Letts ones which seem harder.
