I asked about King Alfred’s already, but I’m looking for a very nurturing private school in North, slightly east or central London.

I am looking for somewhere that really develops children’s emotional well-being and is outdoorsy.

Any recommendations?

What about a Steiner school, like St Paul’s?

sunrise school Tottenham. I visited and really liked it but went state in the end. They did have a poor Ofsted couple of years ago but personally that wouldn't put me off.

I keep meaning to look at that Steiner, hero. I always do worry what to do about secondary if you do Steiner in primary?

I’ve not heard of Sunrise, starpatch. But not sure I fancy going to Tottenham each day! Has the area changed then?!

I’d go and have a look, you might like it but it’s definitely not for everyone. I’ve not seen that one, but others. Wide range of parental commitment to the Steiner-Waldorf method.
From what I’ve seen quite a few go through to 14 then go more trad to get exams.

I wonder if you’d like Dallington? Or the Lyceum? Neither have outside space (although I think the Lyceum are moving to new premises this summer) but I think they still do a lot outside.

Both are pretty central - just north of the City.

Or what about this Scandinavian school?. I haven’t seen it but it might be the sort of thing you’re looking for.
