Can anyone tell me what the topics are? DS has just mumbled something about parents old toys to be taken in, if this is the case I will have to get them sent to me from my mums and would rather not be panicking closer to the time. (like I was a few times last year as the school are awful with information) I tried to get more info out of him, but he was as vague as a 5yr old usually is!! So is this a topic covered, and what other surprises lie in store for me?

Yes, ds1 did this in yr 1/2 (mixed classes) as part of a history project.

Thanks, will get my mum in the loft looking out some stuff then....Dh has nothing left at all so its got to be mine and my brothers stuff, at least this way we can get it out and ready.

Yes, highly likely he will be doing old/new toys. What is most useful are toys that either look old (e.g old fashioned rather than worn out) or are toys that are quite different to what children play with today. I think it is a tricky topic, personally. Also might do 'ourselves' in autumn term, so baby/toddler pics might be good (and maybe even a pic of yourself as a baby) that you could talk to him about.

THanks !!! Mum says she has an old robot that was my brothers and she still has our old Atari set, was thinking along those lines as DS is a boy who loves things like this and he would be interested in them.
And thaks for the heads up on the old photos, I actually have some of them down here so i can get them out the loft in plenty of time. Last year was a nighmare in YR, he would comeo home and say i" I need to take X,Y,Z in to school TOMORROW" ....cue lots of panicking from mum....
