I work in year 6 and after teaching SRE this term I have decided that I can't use the resources we have again they are dated and really old fashioned. What do you use to teach year 5 and 6 in particular SRE?

I was a PSHE leader for a number of years. You really need to talk to your SLT regarding this and check the policy of your LA/academy chain as they often have the resources set out. I'd be really surprised if you were allowed to use any old resources you fancied.

I need to find some options for the head to look over with me. We are a very small school so don't have a slt in the way I have done in other schools. I'm doing it now to give us lots of time to investigate some.

Can I encourage you to look at the transgender trend website (and all of their resources) for some very sensible (and valuable) info. Good luck!

Thanks - I'll certainly look at that. 😊

We used to always use living and growing but it's so dated. This year we've used this for the first time. Like how its very scientific …. no feathers in sight.
