Socialising with other mums

Hi there...my first post here!.. please give me some good ideas on how can I start new playgroup or any kids activities so I can socialise with other mums and can also keep my DS busy on weekends or weekday evenings... haven't lived in Leeds for years and dont know many families around we can socialize with....

I'd say doing school pickups is the main way to get to know people. Even if it's only one a week. You'll see the same faces and get to know people. Or just invite others for play dates after school. Most will reciprocate and you'll get to know people quite quickly.
