Admissions Process Birmingham Private Schools

Hi - I hope I can get some insight into the admissions process in private Birmingham schools pre 11+
The majority of the schools ask for a child to spend a full day of 'assessment' in the class for which they are entering without specifying what they will ask the child to do. Can anyone advise what actually happens during that day? Are children given exercises to do or does anyone talk to them about themselves? I'd like to know what the schools are observing.
Also, has anyone's child attended Blue Coat school 7+ examination day? Do the children get to sit in a proper examination setting or are they tested individually and informally? It would be useful to know whether the schools use computerised assessments or written ones.
Many thanks in anticipation of knowledgeable insight Smile

Ok - it’s obviously sensible to get information from as many sources as possible - but your question suggests an excessive degree of timidity!

Why not ask the schools for this information? They have admissions staff whose job is to provide information to prospective parents. They really won’t mind guiding you through their processes.
