Hi there

Myself and family are moving to Winchester this summer and are looking to make late applications for school places (year 1 and year 4). It seems like the best schools like st bedes and st Faith's are full with really long waiting lists! Does anybody have any advice on other schools to explore? What is all saints c of e primary like? Would you recommend any schools in surrounding villages?

It is so stressful to find this out and need any help I can get!

Thanks!

Thanks redpostbox. Do you know much about owlesbury school? Is there a pre school nearby that you'd recommend?

Kings Worthy school is great and probably has space in both of those year groups. Village (and school) is big, friendly and more 'socially mixed' than other nearby areas, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Also there's a great nursery and at least one excellent pre-school. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

There's a little school in Hursley which I've heard lovely things about and has a really small catchment depending on what side of Winchester you are.

Western and Westgate are both great, and may have space
