Hitchin - best primary for SEN and English as second language

Can anyone recommend a primary school in Hitchin suitable for a child who has sensory issues, English is his second language (doesn't speak and understand much right now but hope will improve in nursery) and is highly sensitive and shy? Any schools we should avoid? Thank you

you could have a look at woolgrove school. its located in letchworth, so a 10 minute drive from hitchin, but caters for pupils with various special needs and follows the national curriculum x

Thanks. Unfortunately we don't have a car. Also we don't have SEN statement so no priority for admission - the school needs to be local : (

ah ok, in that case have a look at strathmore infants. they are infant school of wilshere-dacre juniors, so when your dc get to year 3 they go to the junior school x
