Catchment Areas Newcastle

Hi, my daughter is only 2 but I am about to move and I'm genuinely really confused about catchment areas. I'd like to move to a nice area (obviously) but do I need to figure out what the primary school situation is? How do I do it? Is there a list that exists or some kind of manual, this is more confusing to me than the last two years put together! Thanks for any help, I really need it!

South Gosforth is a nice area and the catchment school is south gosforth first school. Rightmove has a school checker, if you go onto their website and search for a property, click on one in the area and scroll down to the bottom of the page, it has a school checker option. all the best x

I wouldn’t trust Rightmove. Your local authority should publish information about admissions criteria and how far away children were admitted from.

Not all areas have proper catchment areas (though people may still call them that), so its important to check.
