Hearing from schools

We got our second place school. Initially disappointed, but think it will be good for us in the long run. When do we hear from the schools themselves about starting, visit days, staggered starts etc?

We got a letter last week and have an induction evening next week. I was quite surprised. We're in London, there's quite a lot of moving about with waiting list etc. So I thought they'd at least wait until next month.

I'm not expecting to hear until after half-term.

Based on previous years(second child and at private nursery where several children each year go to the school) induction/visit day will coincide with transition day in our borough on a Tuesday at the beginning of July.

We’re in NW London. Not heard anything yet, but I’m sure last year children had visits in June time. Hope to hear soon so I can sort out work!

Varies I imagine. We got a letter over a week ago, information evening for parents is 11th June. No more info until then

It's usually around June/July time at our school. They have a morning where they invite all the parents in and then a week or so later the kids go in for the day.
