Hi

Does anyone can give an update status for BOllin primary school. My daughter was allocated to this school, but after reading the ofsted report, I felt upset, although it is a report from 2017. The question is whether the school got improvement in the recent 2 years?

Thanks

Oh it had a big drama when they brought a new head in and their was some kind of uproar / mutiny by the staff. The head has since gone and I think it has really settled down. Everything else is good and it has a very nice catchment area so should be fine. Why don’t you go and have a look around? You can’t tell anything from that report, it was exceptional circumstances.

EffYouSeeKaye, thanks. Your answer give me more confident. Do you have any idea for the new head. Is she a really good one?

Everyone seems to have very good things to say about the new head. I agree with PP that you should visit.

No I’ve no idea I’m sorry, I’ve just gather from the grapevine that it had a particular issue a couple of years ago but that it is settled now. Really, just make an appointment for a tour of the school with the new head. You will find out everything you need to know from that.

Building is great. Facilities are great. Catchment is affluent. It had been coasting for a while and hence issues a couple of years ago when ofsted blew their cover. I know as I have friends there. Google it.
New HT and loads of parents pushing for change so all history now

Executive Head who was drafted in to sort out the issues is very good - she moved from an outstanding Trafford Primary I believe.

If your child has special needs this school from hell!

Unqualified and unhelpful staff, furthermore; They don’t believe that special need kids are exist!

my sone spent a year there,He felt unwelcome from the first day, his mental health and well being has deteriorated.
when I moved him to a different school, He thrived academically making a remarkable progress, because He was happy!
