i'd have thought it's referring to number bonds? ie 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, etc

1+9 =
2+8 =
3+7 =

in other words the 2 numbers that you would add together to make ten

translation of teacher speak in reports

leader in group work - bossy

strong leader in group work - bully

thoughtful - daydreamer

mature writing style - illegible and untidy

able to do money sums - runs protection racket
(okay I exaggerate a bit there)

can use equipment safely - but usually is quite a menace with the craft knives

produces imaginative artwork -what the h*ll is she drawing

reads with great expression - drama queen

(or have I a low opinion of DD)

lol. Ds2's nursery report said "Has a great sense of humour which he uses to entertain his friends" . Not sure whether to read between the lines with that or not. Am really hoping that they didn't mean to really write "Is forever clowning around and constantly distracts peers"
