I'd like to buy DD 11 something for after SATs.

Any ideas?

Not directly after SATs, but I plan to take DD to have her ears pierced on the first day of summer hols so they've got time to heal before she starts secondary.
She's been desperate to have them done for years.

@Gazelda I had mine done on the afternoon of my last day at primary school. Very fond memory. I plan to do the same with my DD.

DD suffers from extreme exam anxiety so we called SATs week “treat week” instead. Each night she got a new film on dvd to watch and picked her favourite of all teas. Plus each day a small reward for facing her fears. Kinda egg kind of price/thing.

Plus school really made everything else that week fun too. Lots of extra art and games.

She ended up admitting it was a great week and I think it helped her work on her exam fear.

We had dds ears done this Easter as we're away for 3 weeks in the summer and I didn't want to worry about infections while on our travels. I plan to buy dd new earrings after she finishes school but did think I should plan something special for sats week. Although dd is weird like me and likes exams so it's a treat in itself for her Grin

They don't have SATs at my DS school, but once he was done with his entrance exams, I took him out to the theatre (he loves drama) which was a big success.

DS1 got a phone after SATs last year. A bit early, but he has gone to a different secondary to all of his peers, so I wanted to give him a chance to keep in touch with them.
