Sibling link

So DD got our third choice and I can’t get over feeling disappointed to not get our first! We live 0.3 miles from it but due to high sibling intake for the one class of 30, we didn’t get in. Due to the high sibling intake, I’m guessing we have minimal chance of getting in through the waiting list.
So whilst I clutch at straws, are all sibling links checked by the LA? As in check they aren’t Y6, moved out of catchment area etc.

Well you have to give details of the sibling and you address is in the application so yes pretty much.

Thanks. I didn’t know if it was something you have to prove when accepting the space like your address and who you are.
Clutching at straws like I said for a miracle Wink

... we had the same problem with DD... Intake of 30 children, 26 odd places went to siblings. Nothing we could do.
(DS got into the primary school 4 years later... still waiting for a space for DD - she is in y 10 now!!)

At our primary schools it is cross checked against the information that the schools hold. This is done even before offer stage we had a query as the school had 2 addresses on their system for us our new and old address 🙄.
