This is similar to the thread below and I've already taken note of the diary/scrapbook idea but anthing maths based dd can do?
I know she really struggled initially after the long break to get back into things but went straight into assessment tests in the first few weeks back.
It would be really helpful it anyone could link me to a year 3 site with ideas of the curriculum and things you can do with your child generally through the year.

My eldest is just approaching Y2, so I can't help much, but am wondering whether it's worth asking at school for suggestions?

Dd's school often comments on how long the summer holidays are in terms of children remembering things. They produce a half-termly sheet of 'homework', ie suggestions of short activities that can be done at home. Usually includes stuff about money, time, counting in 2s, 5s or 10s, messing about with water looking at volume.

This comes on a sheet with loads of suggestions, which I dutifully stick up in the kitchen. The next time I look at it is when I take it down to put the new one up.
