All-in-one polo/skirt dresses

Another uniform one I'm afraid:
Can I have your opinion on the school dresses that look like separate polo shirts and skirts?
Is it easier just to wash / store separate tops and bottoms?

Easier to change for PE. Ok to wash .

When the top gets covered in whiteboard marker and/or gravy AND ends up going a bit less white you will have to chuck the whole thing.
I preferred pinafores with a zip down front as they protected the white shirt

I like the look of these. I may order one, along side a pack of polo shirts, a skirt, a pinafore and a pair of trousers for my DD starting school this September

Satina · 16/04/2019 00:28

Where did you find these?

JamMakingWannaBe · 16/04/2019 17:37

I'm thinking the same DumbleDork. Trousers and polo shirt for PE days.

@Satina. From Sainsbury's. 25% off this week. They didn't have them in my local (large) store - it was full of gingham summer dresses - so I can't yet comment on the feel of the dress but I've ordered online. Also from Argos. 100% cotton top and jersey skirt.
Asda might do them too, but I couldn't find one on their website.

A couple of girls I teach wear these and to be honest, they dont look smart at all, I think they look quite scruffy. Plus the tops always looks bit grey as obviously they can't be washed separately. Not a fan of them.

I’ve only seen another child wear this and I didn’t like it.
Won’t be getting one for DD.

Mine tend to just wear Jersey type trousers on pe days through their own choice. Asda Jersey fabric pinafore the rest of the time - easy to get on and off for dd2 who has dyspraxia.
