Hi, I have just been sent home my sons end of term report. He’s in reception and they use the codes b/b+ w/w+ and s/s+ for each area of 40-60+. Does anyone know where a child should be now to be expected or exceeding elg at the end of the year? Thanks

There is no firm consensus. In my school, at this stage in the year, we consider ELG beginning (b) to be on track. In other schools they will say 40-60 secure to ELG beginning to be on track.
