Hello Mums, I am looking for a very honest openion. We live in EH16 post code in Edinburgh at the moment and looking for a place to buy in EH4 soon. Could you please really help me which school is better between cramond and Blackhall ? So confused between both the choices all looks same at some points but any details or experiences will really help to choose the right school for my lil one. Thanks

you need to re-post with the names of the schools/area in the title and/or post in local

Thanks redstapler... I can’t find local anywhere? How does it works?

Tried to post a reply to your question on the local site but can't do it on app.

I had that choice a few years ago & chose Cramond - not because of the school itself, but because of the childcare options for breakfast & after school club - although it's better now in Blackhall now.

Both my DC go to Cramond; there is little between the schools & they both feed in to the same secondary (Royal High). Both are pretty good schools & you can't go wrong with either.

Ps the Edinburgh local site is extremely quiet - you might have more luck in the Scotsnet section.

Thank you soo much MoreProseccoNow for your prompt comment. I know there is no much difference in the schools and I hear different views from different people also there Dmains there but seems like it is always over subscribed. And thanks I will find scotsnet section. Smile

What age is your DC?

If you are in catchment at time of P1 registration, you will get a place at the catchment school.

All the local schools are at capacity for early primary, but as you go up the school, many go off privately, so that creates spaces.

My DD is 4.5 she is due to start school this year . I am aware that we have missed the registration week for this area but hopefully will get a space once we move in.
