Phonics help for Year 1?

Anyone got any fun ideas to help my 6 year old ds with his phonics practice? He has a phonics test in June and although I don't agree with tests I'd like to help him.

I wouldn't help him for the purpose of the test. Doing well will be of no benefit to him. Unless he has any specific issues with phonics I'd just keep reading with him - whatever books he enjoys.
