Pre-preps in Sussex

We’re looking to switch our children out of state to independent school. We’re in Mid Sussex. Ideally, they’d go to Hurst College but there’s currently a waiting list for their year groups next year. I’m now looking at other pre-preps including Cumnor House, Cottesmore and Handcross Park until there’s a space or they move up to the prep at Hurst.

This is all new to us. I’d love to hear of other people’s experiences of these schools or schools in the area.

Not sure if it's the right area, but we're at Pennthorpe in Rudgwick. It's between Guildford and Horsham. It's a really nice school, Husrt is a popular choice for senior options from there

Great Walstead School in Lindfield is wonderful, both my children go there. Its a prep school with lots of outdoor space (and a little farm) which suits my girls. www.greatwalstead.co.uk

Thanks everyone. I'm going to add Great Walstead to the list. It looks amazing! My eldest did a week long workshop at Ardingly and it's just a touch too far for us. Same with Pennthorpe. Really appreciate the input.
