Good afternoon. Interested in recommendations for boys'/co-ed pre preps relatively close to Sunningdale/ Windlesham. Already aware of Coworth Flexlands. Thanks.

Hello,
The most obvious one around there is probably Hall Grove. Whereabouts are you as you could then go towards Woking, towards Ascot or towards Virginia Water/Windsor?

@Jellycat1 Just wondering if you found somewhere? I'm looking for similar although I have a couple of years to go. Have you been to Coworth Flexlands or is it not one to consider?

@GU24Mum do you have experience of Hall Grove? I've heard mixed things- notably a retraction on a lovely message to Year 6 leavers as it was intended for Year 8 leavers only. I thought that seemed a bit crass. It also seems like a large school- is the pastoral care as good as they claim?

I know a few friends with children at HG at the moment (and a couple of teachers) and they all seem happy with it. When I was at school (a long time ago!) it was boys only so most of my friends' brothers went there.

That's good to hear. The friend who told me about the retraction did actually have a very good experience with the school and her daughter loved the pony grove.

I suppose the negative things I've heard have been from mums of girls who say it's not the right fit for their shy girls. Alastair Graham I believe openly admits that it's a boys school with girls.

I have a DS so it could work well for him. A30 can be a bit of a mare at times though.

As you probably got from my thread, it's a bit knee-jerk to what I've been hearing about state schools so trying to find the best (for him)
