Primary School recommendations in Gordon Hill - Enfield

Hi all,.

Me and my husband will be moving to Enfield (walking distance from chase farm hospital - EN2) next month.

We have a 2.5 year old son and I have been looking at nurseries/primary schools in the catchment area.

Could you kindly recommend schools in the catchment area?

I'm new to the area and new to the schools, so as you can imagine I'm quite nervous :(.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Besa

Merryhills primary is in your area and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. in the head's welcome, she says the values of the school are:
For all children to believe in themselves and to have the confidence to take risks and give it a go.
For children to operate as individual learners and thinkers.
To inspire a love for learning.
For children to be confident well rounded individuals.
To teach consistently at a high level with high standards and expectations for all children.

Go and visit schools once you're there and see what you think. There are quite a few in the area but you have to decide what will suit your child. We lived in Winchmore Hill until a recent move out of London and loved the area - the great schools were one of the reasons we lived there. Merryhills, St Paul's, St Peter's, Chase Side, Forty Hill CE all have a good rep but you've got time to have a good look around before applying due to your son's age. Enjoy the area!
