hi my child attends nursery 15 hours a week. if i was to get a job and it sent our income over the threshold for the free 15hours would he have to leave nursery and rejoin back when hes 3? or are they allowed to carry on at nursery regardless being as he has already started attending? and already got the childcare code? it is a government nursery not private.
does anyone know thanks

Once you are awarded 2 year funding you don't stop being awarded it even if your situation changes, it will continue until the child is able to get the 3-4 year universal funding or 30 hour funding.

Yes he has it for the full year until the term after he starts 3.

If you are still working by then, you may be entitled to an extra 15 hours (30 hours total) for him in pre-school/nursery, This entitlement however needs to be re-evaluated every 3 months to continue the funding.

Hope this helps

does it have to be reevaluated for the 15 hours or only for the 30hours?

Sorry for the delay in reply.

Whilst he is 2 years old and you qualify for the 15 hour funding you have that for the whole time no re-evaluation needed.

Once he is 3 years old and in pre-school the 15 hours is your entitlement regardless of circumstance no evaluation needed.

If you qualify for the extra 15 hours (30 hours total) it is this that needs re-evaluating every 3 months. (The extra 15 hours only).
