Catholic School Choice

Was wondering if there are parents here that are orthodox and their child goes to a catholic school.
My LO starts school next year and there is an excellent catholic school about 10 minute walk from us. It is the best school in the area. We are orthodox and as there are no orthodox schools, I would like him to attend a school that has beliefs closest as possible to Orthodoxism. I am just worried that he stands no chance as he is not catholic. Maybe I am over thinking and there could be a possibility for him to be accepted.
What is your experience with Catholic schools?
Thank you very much :-)

You'd need to check the oversubscription criteria and which category you fall into. Some will have a category for other faiths, at others you would be in the same category of others outside the Catholic faith.

You can also get an idea from the school/ local authority website as to how many people were successful in recent years and in which categories they were placed.

check the school website forthe admissions policy.

Ours is Catholics within the parish
Catholics outside the parish
Orthodox
Other christians.

You could also ask the school what percentage of the pupils are catholic.
