Hi everyone, my DD is 6 and in Yr 2- does anyone have any good suggestions of times tables apps / games / resources that your kids have enjoyed? She's pretty good at working them out but needs to improve her speed especially on x3 / x4. Thanks in advance.

Times Tables Rockstar is good - my dc like collecting points for correct answers to change their rockstar avatar, but it's a subscription service, and also mixes division questions in with multiplication, which my younger dc found confusing.

Thank you!

Squeebles times tables app - we have the whole set but you can just buy times tables (but I’d highly recommend the spellings and fractions ones, too).

Ditto Rockstar.

I would recommend Squeebles too. And also the TODO MATH app for the general Maths curriculum. The free version of TODO MATH has endless games and no ads. We love it and not everyone knows it.

I bought the “Percy Parker” CD a few years ago, after reading about it on here, and it’s very catchy and a good way of getting children to remember them

Thanks everyone 😊

Yeah 2 don't need to know their 4 x table.
They need to know 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s.

If you google then you'll find loads of free games online to practice times tables, but hit the button is easily the best. I use it a lot with my class.

TT rockstars is the one our school uses and the kids love it!

I thought Percy Parker was a good idea but my kids got really cross with it. The thing that has worked better than anything else here is Times Fables (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1979752796/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_1-XvCbJTFB9MP). It gets them to remember times tables with a short story for each one - my son is a very visual learner and this has helped tables stick better than anything else.
