My son is 10 and has just been assessed for Higher Learning Potential. During the assessment I have found he is likely to have Dyscalculia. He has all the flags for this and really struggles with identifying patterns. I think he has been working hard to overcome some of his difficulties in maths and it has been very stressful for him. The school he attends are struggling to get an official assessment for him as the Borough no longer has this resource available.
It seems I will need to pay for this. I am anxious that he will get support before he changes school.
Please can anyone recommend where I could get an assessment for him? I live in London.
