DD4 is in reception has just moved onto the yellow book band Smile. I know that it is probably distinctly average but I’m so proud of my DD who hadn’t been taught to read at all before September and is progressing beautifully at her own little pace.

This learning to read business is so special and exciting! Loving the journey.

Sounds like she’s doing really well, mine was on Yellow by end of Reception. You must be very proud of her!

I never talk about these things with other parents, for obvious reasons, but I just love it all. It’s like seeing them learn to walk all over again. My DS is in year 1 so you’d think I’d be over it, but no!

You must be very proud of your DC as well, these small people are amazing.
