in 4 weeks!! I'm getting more and more nervous, excited and sad about the whole thing! We've got the school journey for a week, next week, followed by Year 6 production and then speech day and presentations. I've organised a party for all 60 of the kids for the weekend before they finish too. Every year, the year 6's all come out crying and hugging each other and the mums too! I've always thought, I wouldn't be like that, but I think I might! Its so sad, I'll be at this primary for years, as I childmind others, but I won't have any real contact anymore.
What do they do for year 6's at your school?

DGD is going tomorrow for the transfer day, she is soooooooooo excited, but I really cant believe she is old enough (but then I find it really hard to believe that her father is almost 30, where did my little boy go, it only seems 5 mins since he started school)

DS's transfer day is not for another 3 weeks he also has CATs tests the next day.
He goes to a small church school, so there will be a leaving service at the church which leaves everyone blubbering.
We are also having a leaving disco, a theatre trip , a special assemble which they are doing a dance production and a trip to make pizza, so lots for them to look forward to. Us mum's have decided to go for coffee after the church leaving service.

He is a September baby and more than ready to go, wishes he could start today!
