Pinner Wood or West Lodge

Hi all,

I would love any thoughts on these two schools, we are in between the two (closer to West Lodge), I thought I was all set on West Lodge (with a few minor concerns) but now I have visited Pinner Wood (and loved it) I’m feeling extremely conflicted. I think my heart is with Pinner Wood but I don’t know anyone that has experience of sending a child there. Any experiences out there of either school that people would be willing to share? Thanks in advance!

A friend has sent her friends to Pinner Wood and changed from Harlyn and she loves it!! She highly recommends the school and is very happy about changing the schools...

I have friends at both schools. PW got rebuilt so it is great new facilities. They are on par academically now. I’ve been told most kids at WL are tutored from a young age to start the 11+ process. Also WL has smaller catchment area as most ppl rent to get into the school then move far out so less likely to have friends that live nearby.

I would suggest that you ask for a private tour or sometime to go and speak with senior leadership. This is a good opportunity to see if you are with their way of thinking 🤔

What did you end up going for?

We were offered a place at PW which was our second choice behind WL. We have since been contacted by WL offering us a place there...confused by what to do. It was our first choice originally so that tells us we should accept WL...thoughts on both schools welcome.

We chose PW as our first choice and have a place at WL which was our second. Happy with WL, on the wait list for PW and undecided as to whether we would accept a place there if one because available. Ultimately feel lucky to have two great options. Have you decided what you'll do?
