Puzzled! Is DS competition entry still valid?

Fairly trivial this evening. Ds8 entered a competition with his old school.

I found out today his entry has made the final and has been sent to the judges.

Problem is, he left the school two weeks ago. He isn't a pupil at the school anymore but his entry was submitted when he was a pupil at the school.

Obviously I want to know if his entry is valid just in case he wins and they retract his prize etc. Forever the optimist.

TIA

No-one on here can answer your question. That is entirely up to the school. You need to ask them.

Hmm, I would guess it depends whether it's an entirely in-school competition or something he entered via school. If it's the former, then frankly I think you're being a bit of a CF to expect the school to still consider your son's entry when you've just withdrawn him from the school (nor would I dream of raising it with them). But if it was an external competition entered via the school, then I'd contact the external organiser to check.

Depends on the rules of the competition. If it's a colouring/art/poetry type thing I don't think it would matter tbh. What's the prize?

More information needed.

It is a poetry competition and the organisers are external. That wouldn't classify me as CF I'm sure.

What more information exactly do you require?

It's not one of those 'congrats, you have been published, order form enclosed' ones is it? If so I'm sure he will be a winner!!!

No, in that case not CF. I'd just phone the organisers and leave the school out of it.
